Diesel is an incomplete dominant mutation.
History
Diesel was originally imported and proved out by Connie from Pythonica back in the early 2000s. She worked with the gene and proved a super but unfortunately she gave up ball pythons.
After Connie left the hobby, another breeder, Mike from Toronto Python Guru, took on the project. He was working with it for a while, but of course as things always go he left the hobby also and the gene kind of disappeared and was forgotten about apart from by Jason at Nyoka Ball Pythons.
Appearance
Body
Diesel causes a reduction in “eyes” within the alien head patterning and banding over the dorsal.
The black base color of the animal is much darker than a normal Ball Python and displays very little, if any, blushing.
