History

FNR Vanilla originates from a wild caught imported female. Although they originated from a different wild caught female, these initially were thought to be identical to the more common (Gulf Coast) Vanilla morph, as the single gene looks nearly identical. In 2015, these were proven not to be in the fire complex, as is the GC Vanilla, so are proven to be a different mutation. Besides this proof, the combos have a different, very distinct look to them - different from the GC Vanilla. The most evident example is the GC Vanilla Fire, which makes the scream, whereas the FNR Vanilla Fire is a bright yellow snake with a dark, nearly black pattern.

The first supers were hatched in 2010 (two females); subsequently these were proven to be definite supers in 2014. - Freek Nuyt
