Appearance

Head

The head of the Nanny Ball Python tends to be lighter than that of a Normal Ball Python and usually lacks any headstamp.

Body

The Nanny Ball Python is a Granite type gene that primarily breaks up the alien head pattern and adds freckles, pixels, or granite patches to the alien heads.

Belly

The belly of a Nanny Ball Python is usually pearly white with tracking up the sides.

Tail

The tail of the Nanny Ball Python follows the Granite-like patterning of the body.

Controversy

In 2023 a handful of sellers requested that the Nanny gene be rebranded as “Carnage” in an attempt to make the trait more desirable, which was overwhelmingly rejected by the community on the grounds of confusion, given that Nanny is by far the most popular Granite line gene. However, a small portion of sellers have continued to use the name “Carnage” to advertise their Nanny animals.
