This refers to the colour of the crests on the crested gecko. Often, the crest colour will be the same colour as the overall head. When the crest colour is different from the overall head colour, it is called “tip”.
Sometimes all of the crest will “tip” in either off-white / white, and sometimes just a few of the scales will display the off-white / white.
