Store Policy
Thank you for considering a purchase from Em’s Critter Cove! We are so excited to work with you. Before committing to a purchase please review the below guidelines. We hope you love your new critter!
**LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE** – We stand by the health and safety of our critters and provide a live arrival guarantee with every purchase, so you can shop with confidence knowing that your new pet will arrive in good condition. Health guarantees are only available for animals shipped to FedEx hubs (only if the animal is picked up within an hour) and not for home delivery. (Please provide pictures and videos within an hour of a DOA for full refund).
**PAYMENT OPTIONS**- Venmo is preferred, cash app, zelle , paypal, local pickup (cash)
**PAYMENT PLANS**- Payment plans are offered for animals over $400 not including shipping and not to exceed 8 weeks. The payments are to be made every two weeks until paid in full. As of right now with us being a small business plans are set for a higher amount. However, as we grow this will surely be adjusted. In the case that a major health issue or death occurs in the animal being held in our care the buyer will receive and 100% refund or store credit (their choice).
**HOLDING ANIMALS**- ECC will hold animals with a 25% non-refundable deposit for 2 weeks. The rest of the payment should be made on the 14th day. If not, the deposit will be kept, and the animal may be placed back up for sale. However, the 25% can be used as credit towards another future purchase. (If you have any questions about this process please ask). It is our goal to assure that you get your animal however it hurts our business if we hold the animal and miss out on potential buyers if you decide you don’t want it. In the case that a major health issue or death occurs in the animal being held in our care the buyer will receive and 100% refund or store credit (their choice).
**AUCTIONS**- All auctions are to be paid in full within 24 hrs and are excluded from payment plans.
**SEXING ANIMALS**
We sex the animals to the best of our knowledge. Pictures can be provided if you would like to verify for yourself.
**OTHER**
Please assure that you have done the appropriate research prior to purchasing an animal from ECC. Please also have an adequate set up for your new pet before arrival. There are plenty of groups and care guides online to seek advice from. If you would like to inquire about care guidelines for an animal we have listed, we will gladly give you advice to help set you up for success with your new animal. Speak to other members in your household to make sure everyone is on the same page about getting a new animal.
After the animal has been placed in the care of the buyer, the health and overall care is the buyer’s responsibility. There is no guarantee other than live arrival. If the purchased animal has a significant health issue within 7 days of delivery it is required to provide us documentation from a certified veterinarian that the health issue is due to underlying genetic issues, or a health issue that the animal had before being placed in the buyer’s care. If this is the case the buyer, the buyer will be issued a full refund or credit/replacement from the store.
