TERMS OF SALE
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND PAYMENT/SHIPPING POLICIES BELOW PRIOR TO PLACING A DEPOSIT/PURCHASING AN ANIMAL. By placing a deposit or purchasing an animal you are agreeing to the terms listed below. If you do not agree with the terms listed below please do not make a purchase. Terms are subject to change at any time without notice.
WE DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SELL TO ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18.
PAYMENTS/PAYMENT PLANS
Blue Rose Exotics accepts most forms of payment (see below). Payment plans are available on animals $300 & above & not to exceed 60 days.
Animals priced $300-$499, we require a 50% deposit and will hold up to 2 weeks.
Animals priced $500 & up we require a 25% deposit. Length of time of payments is determined by the price of the animal & will be 30-60 days. We may make an exception for purchases of multiple animals or larger cost.
If you would like to discuss payment plan options, please reach out to us. All terms of payment plans will be emailed to you for your review prior to payment of your deposit so that questions can be asked and changes made if necessary PRIOR TO you paying your deposit. Once you place your deposit you are considered in agreement with the terms of the payment plan. DO NOT purchase any animal or pay a deposit unless you are 100% sure it's the animal you want you can pay in full as described in your payment plan. ALL DEPOSITS/PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE IF YOU CANCEL OR DO NOT FULFILL YOU PAYMENT PLAN IN THE AGREED UPON TIME!
CASH - Cash is king! And if you’re picking up, this is a great way to pay & we love you for it!!! Thank you!
PERSONAL CHECK - Payment by personal check is by pre-approval only & can only be used for deposits on snakes that will not be picked up for a minimum of 2 weeks (from the time we receive the check). We require 2 full weeks for checks to fully clear before we will release the animal - no exceptions. Please speak with us if you need to send a check & get pre-approval. Any returned/NSF checks will incur a $50 NSF fee.
CASHIER’S CHECK/MONEY ORDERS - These also require pre-approval. Cashier’s Check must be from your own bank. Any Money Orders must be Postal Money Orders that you get from the post office. They are the ONLY type of money orders we will accept and for deposits only. Any returned/NSF checks will incur a $50 NSF fee.
CREDIT CARDS - We process all credit cards through Square. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express). There will be a 3% fee added to all credit card transactions. Credit cards can be used for deposits & well as final payment at time of pick up. Any credit cards used at time of pick up in person must be the physical card (to be swiped/chip) & the name on the card must match the ID of the buyer. You cannot use someone else’s credit card for payment unless that person is there with you in person. Any EFT returned funds will incur a $50 NSF fee.
ZELLE/VENMO/CASH AP - Payments via these methods can be used for deposits or in person at time of pick up. These are usually instant & the animal will only be released once we verify receipt of payment with our bank.
ANY OTHER FORM OF PAYMENT MUST BE APPROVED PRIOR TO PLACING A DEPOSIT AND WILL BE CONSIDERED ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS.
Blue Rose Exotics reserves the right to refuse any form of payment or change accepted forms of payment at any time without notice.
Blue Rose Exotics reserves the right to request a copy of the front and back of valid Driver’s License or State Issued ID to verify identity at any time.

SHIPPING
WE DO NOT SHIP ANY ANIMAL WITHOUT FULL PAYMENT ON THE ANIMAL PURCHASE PLUS THE SHIPPING FEE - NO EXCEPTIONS
We do not ship internationally at this time so shipping is restricted to the US only.
Shipping is done through FedEx Priority Overnight guaranteed live arrival via Ship Your Reptiles or another reptile shipping company of our choosing. We will only ship Tues-Wed & only weather permitting (see temp guidelines below). We will ONLY ship to a FedEx hub - NO EXCEPTIONS! It is the buyer’s responsibility to verify & provide the correct address for the FedEx hub they want to pick up at. We are not responsible for shipping to the wrong hub if you provide the wrong address. We do not ship on holidays, nor do we ship the day after a holiday due to the increased number of shipments FedEx handles.
Please note we follow the temperature guidelines set forth by Ship Your Reptiles.
Below 38°F: WE DO NOT SHIP. Wait for warmer weather.
38-69°F: Use a heat pack per our directions.
70-91°F: DO NOT use a heat pack.
Over 91°F WE DO NOT SHIP Wait for cooler weather.
We follow these temperature guidelines at the point of departure and arrival!
We have the right to delay any shipment if we feel it is unsafe for any reason. The health & well being of our animals is more important to us. If your shipment is delayed by us awaiting safer shipping conditions, there is no charge to you. We ask you to please be patient. We want your baby to arrive healthy and ready for lots of love!
LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE is ONLY valid if the animal is shipped directly to a FedEx hub and is picked up within 2 hours of arrival to the hub (per FedEx timestamp). We highly suggest opening your shipment immediately. Any DOA must be reported within 30 minutes of pick up (per FedEx timestamp) & be accompanied by photo and/or video evidence. Any other health issues must be reported within 24 hours of arrival. We guarantee that your baby will arrive alive & healthy & that it was eating live for us prior to leaving (We will always let you know what your animal was currently eating for us. While many of our snakes will accept a frozen/thawed meal, we never guarantee a snake will continue to eat frozen/thawed as there are too many factors involved). We cannot guarantee past the initial 24 hours as we are no longer in control of the environment/enclosure or conditions in which the animal is kept. If you have any questions about proper enclosures or husbandry please reach out to us, we’re always happy to help! We can also email you our care sheet which helps answer a lot of the basic questions about bringing home your snake. If there are any concerns about your animal we must be notified within 24 hours. We want you to be happy with your purchase but we can’t help you if we don’t know. We pride ourselves on our customer service before, during & after the sale!
LOCAL PICK UP (OR AT A SHOW)
Want to avoid shipping charges? Pick up your new animal at one of the expos we attend throughout the midwest or locally in Rockford IL.
GENETICS/GENDER GUARANTEE
We guarantee the gender of any animal as listed male or female or it may be listed unsexed. Animals listed as unsexed have no gender guarantee.
Recessive Genes: We keep extensive records on our babies and keep track of parentage. If we list an animal as 100% het, then we guarantee it is 100% het. Any animal listed with a het less than 100% means that there is only a chance it is het & the genetic percentage will be listed.
Muti-Gene Codoms: We have many of experience identifying ball pythons genetics. We do our best to identify genes but when multiple genes are involved it is possible to misidentify genetics. We will always provide the genetics of the parents so you can make your own educated identification of genes. We will usually list the animal only for the genes we know for sure, so some animals may have more genes than listed, a bonus to you!
SPIDER COMPLEX
By purchasing any snake with a spider complex gene (not fully inclusive but including spider, champagne, hidden gene woma, etc), you agree that you are aware of possible “wobble”. Not all have wobble & any snake with a spider gene could develop a wobble later in life or the wobble could lessen & this is not a reason for a snake to be returned. Wobble is a genetic trait, not a health related behavior & has no bearing on the health of the snake.
FEEDING ISSUES
We will inform you of the current diet of the animal you purchase & we guarantee the animal was eating at the time of pick up/shipment. Once you receive the animal, we have no control over the environment/feeding methods you use, & cannot guarantee it will eat. Improper feeding methods, environments or feeding the wrong type/size of food can all cause an animal to not want to eat. We will, however, do our best to guide & advise you on what to do to get the animal to eat. We recommend that your 1st 4 meals offered are the same as what we offered to help in the adjustment & ensure a good transition to their new home. If your animal does not eat after 1 week of being in its new home it may still be adjusting. Limit your handling & wait a week and try to feed again. If the animal hasn’t eaten by the 2nd week please reach out so we can help you.
