B&T’s Radical Boas & Pythons is a small home business that has been breeding boas and pythons for 10 years
Store Policy
Thank you for considering buying a boa from me. Please take the time to read my
terms and let me know that you accept them. If you cannot agree with my Terms
of Sale then please do not buy from me.
1. Animal Availability: Animals are sold when available on a first come, first
served basis. Babies are typically born in summer through early fall and
then require approximately 2 months to become established (voluntarily
fed 4 or more times) to captivity prior to sale. I do not do waiting lists or
accept any payments until an animal is ready to ship. I reserve the right to
refuse sale to anyone.
2. Photos: One or more representative photographs will be provided with the
description/ online advertisement for the animal. However I cannot supply
indefinite photos of an animal, so please be reasonable. Unless otherwise
noted, the animal you purchase will be the same as in the photographs. In
some cases, a representative photograph of a similar and/or littermate
animal will be used in online classified advertisements (and noted as such).
3. Payment: I accept via check, money order, and Paypal. Paypal payments
may be made to @BTorbett. Please make all checks and money orders to:
Brandon Torbett. Please remember to sign and add all requested
information (payee, address, etc.) to all checks and money orders! I’ve
previously had to return payment to buyers to fill in needed information.
Send checks/money orders by first class or priority USPS mail. Paypal or
Postal money orders are preferred; personal checks will be held to clear
prior to shipping of animals. No animal will be shipped until the full balance
is paid and all funds are clear.
4. Payment Plan/ Deposit: We offer payment plans on animals $500.00 or
more, once you start a payment plan there are no refunds. Paypal invoice
will be sent to start a payment plan. 20% deposit is required to hold any
animal with the remainder due in 2 months. Deposit in non-refundable but are transferable. No animal will be shipped unless paid in full plus shipping.
No shipping on purchase of $1,000.00 or more.
5. Packing: All animals are packed very carefully for shipment in individual
bags or deli-style containers in styrofoam lined boxes approved for shipping
reptiles. In cooler weather, heat packs are used.
6. Shipping: The safety of my animals is always #1. We ship by Fedex Priority
overnight shipping through Reptiles Express to your nearest Fedex Ship
Center for you to pick up. This must be a Fedex Shipping Center, not many
smaller local Fedex providers. Please let me know your location and I can
tell you the nearest Fedex Shipping Center if you are in doubt. We prefer to
ship on Tuesday for arrival Wednesday mornings, as this is the day with the
lowest chance of delays, but will also consider shipping Monday for Tuesday
arrival or Wednesday for Thursday arrival. I will check in with you prior to
shipping to confirm that you will be available to pick the shipment up on the
day of arrival. Occasionally, a Fedex overnight shipment will be delayed for
an entire day and arrives the day after it was scheduled to arrive. In my
experience, the few times this has happened the animals have arrived 100%
safely. However, I will not ship later in the week as being delayed over a
weekend increases the chances of an animal being harmed during
shipment. I do not ship outside the United States.
7. Shipping Delays: If the weather is too hot (over 90F) or too cold (below
40F), then shipping is not possible. During summer heat waves or the
winter, it may be weeks or months for a shipping window to open. In this
case, your animal(s) will be fed and given ideal care at no extra charge over
the delay. In addition, Fedex Priority Overnight service is scheduled to arrive
the next morning, but some shipments can be delayed a day or more
(rarely) after the scheduled arrival. Live healthy arrival is guaranteed
provided you pick up on the day of arrival.
8. Guarantee: Live arrival of all animals is guaranteed provided you pick up
at the Fedex Shipping Center on the day of arrival. If you do not pick up the box on the day of arrival I cannot and will not guarantee live arrival. Please
open the box as soon as possible after you pick it up and carefully inspect
your shipment and animal(s). Please let me know ASAP of any issues with
the shipment and/or animals and I will do my best to make everything right.
If everything looks great (which I certainly hope it does), please let me
know you are happy with the shipment. I guarantee that any animal I sell is
healthy, mite free, eating voluntarily, was CBB by me (unless noted), will
arrive alive and safe and should remain that way for a minimum of 24 hours
after it arrives. I cannot guarantee the temperament of an animal or that it
will be tame, but I will advise you on the current behavior and likely
temperament if you inquire. If there is a problem or the animal arrives dead
or sick please contact me immediately. If you do not notify me within 24
hours after arrival then you have no claim. To have a valid claim you must
also keep the animal (dead or alive) and either return it to me or provide
photo/video proof of its demise. Do not dispose of the animal and then tell
me that it died. Without proof of death I will not consider any claim. If your
claim is valid then I will be happy to either refund your money or replace
the animal (if an animal is in stock).
9. All Sales Are Final: I do not accept returns on animals
10. Commitment: I am 100% committed to making your experience with
B&T’s Radical Boas & Pythons as smooth as possible. I care very much
about what happens to my animals and want them to go to the best
possible homes, and if possible, ultimately contribute to the future gene
pool of snakes in captivity. I stand by my animals and service. I will help you
with your housing, feeding, husbandry, breeding, and any other questions
you may have. Boas and Pythons have specific needs. Please do your
background research prior to acquiring a Boa or Python, know how to care
for it, and be prepared to offer ideal husbandry. There is a huge amount of
information available online on reptile husbandry, including the videos I
have produced and made available free on my “B&T’s Radical Boas &
Pythons” Youtube channel. I am always happy to answer your questions on
boa and python care, feeding, husbandry, breeding, and other topic However, the care and well being of your snake is ultimately your
responsibility, so please do not buy a snake (or any other animal) unless you
are committed to providing it with a lifetime of proper care.
