Danelle's Critters started out as many do...with an assortment of pets. I was at a Repticon talking with a breeder and she suggested I look into breeding geckos because she could tell I was passionate about animals. And...boom. We spent months running numbers and figuring out how and where we could make it work. I'm now on a mission to share great animals with others and hope to grow as a breeder in the coming years.
Store Policy
Age Requirements -
You must be 18 in order to purchase reptiles from me. If an underage person would like to purchase an animal from me a parent or guardian needs to be part of the communication process.
Payments -
We accept payments through PayPal, Venmo, Zelle and CashApp. If you have an alternative way you wish to pay for your animal reach out and we will see what we can do. All sales are final.
Payment Plans -
Payment plans are available. If this is something that you wish to discuss please feel free to contact me. Our normal conditions are as follows:
-Minimum of 20% downpayment. This is non-refundable and forfeited if the payments aren’t completed as scheduled.
-Money needs to be applied toward the purchase a minimum of every other week unless other arrangements have been made.
-The animal must be paid off within 60 days unless other arrangements have been made and agreed upon.
Shipping-
Shipping is done with insulated boxes and is only available through FedEx overnight. It is required to ship the animal to the nearest FedEx hub to you. This protects the animal from dangerous weather it may experience if it is put onto a FedEx truck for home delivery. Should the buyer insist on delivery to their home or business, the live arrival is not guaranteed and a DOA will not come with a refund. I highly, highly recommend just figuring out how to pick up the animal from the hub. I know it isn’t convenient, but it is safest for the animal in question.
Shipping will only be done when the weather is cooperating. Should the weather make it unsafe to ship the animal we will hold it for you until it works out to ship it and remain in communication during that time.
At this time I only ship within the US and do not export animals to any other countries.
At this time, our only shipping day is Tuesday. This has animals arriving at the local hub on Wednesday.
*Isopod and Springtails Note - These guys are sent through Fedex in an insulated box 2 day shipping. I am willing to ship them to your door weather permitting.
Local Pickup -
At this time we offer free local pickup in Sanford, NC. We will meet up for free, within a 15 minute radius. You can pay a delivery fee for meeting up or having us drop off farther away within NC. We sometimes go to Raleigh and Durham and may be able to meet up there for free.
You can also purchase a gecko and have it brought to one of our shows. We often vend shows in North Carolina in Charlotte, Raleigh, and Durham.
Guarantee-
-I guarantee that I have done my best to represent the animal accurately and provide you with as much information as possible to make an informed decision about the animal you are purchasing from me.
-I guarantee that any information about the gender of the animal is accurate.
-I only ship animals that are well-started and healthy. Any issues that the animal has before the sale will be documented in the listing.
-I have a live arrival guarantee, but things do happen in shipping. Should your animal not make it through the shipping process I require photographic proof within two hours of picking it up from the FedEx hub. This gives you plenty of time to get the animal and thoroughly inspect it and get back to me.
-Tail loss or rubbing marks that the animal gets during shipping will not be cause for a refund or return.
-Returns are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact me if you are in any way unsatisfied with your purchase.
Holds-
Holds can happen based on weather, vacation schedules, or our travel to other areas of NC or SC. Holds of animals for other reasons may be available, but will require discussion and be decided upon on a case-by-case basis. Payment for the animal will be required in order to hold it and 20% of the purchase price is a non-refundable deposit.
Buy Backs-
Should you want to rehome the animal you purchased from me for any reason, feel free to contact me for a potential buyback. I love each and every animal I work with here and want them to have the best home possible.
Long-Term Care-
It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide proper long-term care for the animal. This includes suitable housing, heat, humidity, and food. I am always available to help with troubleshooting husbandry issues, but once the animal in question is in your care I no longer bear responsibility for its health and longevity.
