Store Policy
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All sales are subject to the following:
Payment Methods:
Payment must be made in full before any animal is shipped. We accept PAYPAL, Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Western Union. If you wish to setup a payment plan, please contact us for details.
Payment Plan:
Payment plans are offered on a case-by-case basis. Typical arrangements will generally be between 1 to 3 months in duration depending on the amount of the purchase. To hold an animal demure Reptiles requires a non-refundable deposit (typically >50%) and an agreed upon due date for full payment. After the minimum deposit is received the animal/s will be taken off the market and held for the customer. Animals will be fed and maintained as usual with no extra charge to the customer. NOTE: Failure to pay by the agreed upon date will result in cancellation of the payment plan and loss of any payments. Please do not enter into a payment plan unless you are certain you can pay as agreed. Feel free to text or message on facebook for more information or to discuss payment options specific to the animal of interest.
Sales Policy:
All sales are final, and all deposits and payments are non-refundable. A buyer's failure to complete their payment plan within the agreed timeframe will result in the forfeit of their hold on the animal(s) and any money sent.
Health:
Veterinarian Health Certificate will be provided to confirm healthy condition.
deMure Reptiles guarantees the animal was in healthy state and will be shipped out in a healthy state. In addition, we guarantees that the animal being delivered is exactly the one represented in the ad, unless otherwise stipulated in the ad with the use of an official Representative Photo.
Genetics
Genetics are identified to the best of our ability with no attempt to mislead anyone. Recessive / Heterozygous Genes are always FULLY guaranteed. Shed Testing can be used for confirmation.
"Theoretical ID's" are becoming more common due to the number of genes in some combinations with several possible genes. We use clutch mates and previous clutches to help ID animals, and also refer with other breeders if a gene is in question. In rare cases an animal may not always prove out as identified.
Sex:
All specimens will be properly sexed. Buyer must verify animal(s) to be properly sexed within 48 hours of delivery. We will only address an issue with an incorrectly sexed animal if it’s brought to our attention within 48 hours of delivery. After 48 hours all sales are final as it’s the buyer’s responsibility to confirm the sex of the animal(s) they have purchased. We will not accept “pet store’s, or friends” opinion on sexing your new arrival. You must provide a sworn notarized veterinary statement who specialized in reptiles as proof of an incorrectly sexed animal.
Overall Shipping:
Shipments will be done through Delta Cargo or FEDEX hub. A quote will be provided to buyer to estimate shipping cost. Buyer will evaluate shipping cost. Buyer will paid shipment before animal is sent. Typically, we ship Monday-Wednesday as weather allows. Weather conditions are critical for a successful shipment. Temp Lows must be above 60°F and Temp Highs must be below 100°F. Requesting shipping outside of these temperature guidelines nullifies any Guarantee of Live Arrival by deMure Reptiles.
Animals must be picked up at the Delta Cargo or FEDEX hub. Packages are to be opened immediately at the cargo desk or counter and the animals should be inspected. If there are any obvious problems with the animal (deceased or injured) or the package feels extremely cold or hot to the touch, a claim should be filed with the airlines before leaving the airport. In addition, deMure must be notified within one (1) hour.
Domestic Shipping:
All animals will be shipped through Delta Cargo or FEDEX hub. Domestic shipping is a shipment from USA state to another USA state. deMure Reptiles guarantees live arrival and takes full responsibility for delivering animals safely to the customer. Shipments must be opened and inspected in front of the Delta or FEDEX representative. If the animal dies in transit, a picture will be sent immediately as proof within one (1) hours of the arrival. demure Reptiles will replace the animal if possible with an equivalent animal or issue credit for the full amount of the purchase which can be used towards the purchase of any animal. Any claims must be done at the pick-up time or within one (1) hour of the arrival. If the customer insists on door to door delivery, then they must assume the risk and waive their live-arrival guarantee.
All animals will be properly packed and shipped in a new shipping box. It will include the Health Certificate and Description of the Animal. We ship animals in clearly marked boxes in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. When receiving an animal shipment through FedEx or Delta: the customer must pick up the animal shipment at their closest FedEx Hub or Delta Location. This is the safest method of shipment since it avoids the delivery truck where most delivery mishaps occur. Shipping Cost will be based on the provided quote, any change in cost will be communicated to buyer. This shipping cost will be paid by buyer/customer in order to provide shipment information. Buyer/Customers will be provided a tracking number and should pick up the animal promptly after it arrives at the customer center and becomes available for pick up.A photo ID is required at the time of pick up.
International Shipping:
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE LIVE ARRIVAL FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS. A quote will be provided to buyer to estimate shipping cost. Buyer will evaluate shipping cost. Buyer will paid shipment directly to the service provider before animal is sent. All shipments are inspected by the US Fish and Wildlife Government Agency prior to boarding cargo planes. We take full responsibility up to the inspection by the US Fish and Wildlife Services agent and delivery to cargo agent. Once shipments are cleared and delivered to the cargo desk, we no longer assume responsibility for the shipment. Any issues due to airline mishaps is not our responsibility. We do not take responsibility for compliance related seizures of shipments at the destination country. By placing international orders you acknowledge and assume all risk. In International Transactions Customers may use brokers to import animals to their country at their own risk and expense. Any mishaps is not our responsibility.
Arrival of your Animal:
When your animal arrives, open the containers immediately and inspect it. If everything is okay, place the animal in its cage with fresh water. Shipping is a stressful time for animals. Try not to handle or feed your animal for several days, allowing it acclimate to its new environment. After 3 or 4 days you can attempt to feed your snake. However, if it doesn’t eat, don’t be alarmed as it sometimes takes a few weeks for snakes to fully acclimate. During the first few feedings offer the same meal type as it was fed at our facility. This information will be contained within your package. If anything is suspicious, please don’t hesitate to call us.
Returns:
deMure Reptiles does not accept returns on live animal purchases unless the animal was dead on arrival or violated our animal guarantee. DOA must be reported within one (1) hour of arriving based on Delta Cargo time or FEDEX time, photo evidence provided. Buyer is responsible for animal injury or loss if buyer fails to obtain animal immediately after home delivery or pickup within one (1) hour of hub delivery.
Live arrival guarantee will only apply to the cost of the animal and not the cost of shipping. Shipping costs for replacement animals are the responsibility of the buyer. Any return animals shipped to deMure Reptiles without prior consent will be refused.
