Store Policy
SALES:
In order to purchase an animal, you must be 18 years old or accompanied by a parent/guardian. Vivid Exotics reserves the right to refuse service for any reason. This is solely to ensure that the animal will be safely purchased, transported, and properly cared for.
All geckos advertised are the exact animal for sale. Additional photos may be requested. Some reptiles do not have lineage, but if available, lineage will be provided. After a deposit has been made or the gecko has been purchased, Vivid Exotics is not responsible if a gecko drops its tail. Although unfortunate, this is possible and does not decrease the value of the animal.
All crested geckos are fed on a Pangea diet. In addition to crested gecko diet, live insects are offered weekly.
PRICING/PAYMENT:
The price for a given animal covers breeding cost, care and is reflected by the current market values. I will entertain offers, especially bundle deals. Although there is the occasional firm price, this allows me to provide customers with quality geckos.
I accept payments via PayPal (Friends and Family) and cash (local pickup) only. Please be sure to review all details before sending payment on PayPal (correct email address, F&F option, etc.). If you send payment incorrectly, I will not accept and the money will be refunded. If a refund is sent, it will likely take multiple business days for PayPal to process the refund. When the balance is paid in full, an invoice with all information regarding the sale can be provided.
PAYMENT PLANS:
Payment plans are available for purchases of $300 or more. In order to enroll in a payment plan, a 25% NON REFUNDABLE deposit is required. The remaining balance must be paid in full 30 days after the initial deposit is received. After the deposit is received, the animal will be placed “on hold” for the duration of the payment plan. The animal will not be shipped until the balance is paid in full. I will consider longer payment plans on larger purchases, but this is determined on a case by case basis. If the balance is not paid in 30 days, the sale is cancelled and no deposits will be refunded. All sales are final.
HOLDS:
Reptiles will not be shipped in extreme temperatures or bad weather. Temperatures, highs and lows, must be between 38° and 85°. If unsafe to ship, all reptiles will be held and cared for until it is safe to ship again. During winter and summer, it is common for holds to last for extended periods of time. In the mean time, the reptile will be well cared for at my expense. I understand waiting can be frustrating to an excited owner, but safety is my number one priority. During this time, I will be checking temperatures/conditions weekly and will contact you when I see an opportunity. Your pet will be well taken care of, but updates can be requested up to 2 times per month.
SHIPPING:
Shipping is only offered in the continental US. This is to ensure the safety of the reptile being shipped. All shipments will be arranged via Reptiles2you, which is delivered by FedEx. All live animals will be shipped via priority overnight. Although home delivery is an option, pickup from a local hub is greatly preferred. This minimizes the amount of stress the animal has to endure. Shipping is usually best on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but all shipments will depend on safe shipping availability. Vivid Exotics is not responsible for shipping delays or mishandling.
LIVE ARRIVAL/HEALTH GUARANTEE:
Vivid Exotics ensures live arrival and offers a 24 hour health guarantee on all reptiles. All reptiles will be the exact gecko advertised and accurately sexed. All reptiles must be adults in order for the sex to be guaranteed. Any younger reptiles sold will be pore sexed, but this educated prediction is simply a courtesy and is not guaranteed.
When shipping reptiles, the buyer will be provided a tracking number. It is the buyers responsibility to track the progress of the shipment and the buyer must be present to accept the package on the first delivery attempt. Please pick up the package in a timely manner during hub shipments. If the package is not received on the first attempt, ALL GUARANTEES ARE VOIDED. Please contact me within the first 30 minutes of receiving the package to let me know the reptile has arrived safely. In the rare and unfortunate case of a DOA, you must contact me immediately. Proof will be required in the form of photographs and videos. Verification and documentation by an exotic vet may be requested in extreme circumstances. Vivid Exotics is not responsible for death or injury due to poor husbandry or caretaking. If the DOA is determined to be at fault of Vivid Exotics, a full refund will be provided; unfortunately shipping costs cannot be refunded. Refunds will be issued in the same method as the payment was received. If available, another reptile of equal quality can be requested instead. Crested geckos have the capability to drop their tails. Vivid Exotics can not guarantee that a gecko will not drop their tail during shipping. It is unfortunate, but it in no way affects the quality or value of the animal received.
ANIMAL/CUSTOMER CARE
Vivid Exotics is not responsible for any veterinary expenses or costs incurred by the buyer for any animal. If you take any animal to a veterinarian, you do so entirely at your own expense.
Although these reptiles are being rehomed, I still care about all of the reptiles I have produced and owned. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions or if I can help in any way.
