Store Policy

ROR POLICY

Cost:
Shipping is usually $50 to $105, depending on where you live, with live arrival guarantee in the continental U.S. for priority overnight delivery. Shipping is covered by ROR on orders over $5000.

When we ship:
We use Ship Your Reptiles for ensuring that your new snake arrives to you safely and go by their guidelines for temperatures, weather calls, FAA flight cancelations and Fedex delays, particularly during the winter months.  We finalize all coordination with the customer on the first work day of the week for shipping and appreciate your flexibility when receiving your new snake.  

Before a snake can ship, they have to take six meals with us here at ROR.  This is to ensure they are established on food, not having any digestive issues, shed well, etc.  Overall, we are making sure that you have an easy transition when the snake arrives to you.  We ship on Tuesday and Wednesday for a next day delivery to the closest Fedex Hub that accepts live animals near you.  You will receive an email prior to the snake departing with your tracking information from Fedex (please check your spam folder) so you can see their progress along the way to you.  They SHOULD arrive to the Fedex Hub no later than 1030 the following day.  By delivering to a Fedex Hub, your snake will be in a climate controlled building, allowing you the freedom to pick up anytime that day between delivery and closing time for your Fedex Hub.  
When looking at the temperature to determine shipping, we will look at Pittsburgh day time high and the day time high of your location.  Please keep this in mind when looking at the temperature guidelines below:

Below 38°F: Too cold to ship safely. We will wait for warmer weather.
38-69°F: We will use a heat pack to ensure that your snake arrives safely.
70-100°F: Shipping will be good to go.
Over 100°F: Too hot to ship safely. We will wait for cooler weather. 

When the weather is extremely hot, we may use a cryopack as necessary to ensure that your snake also does not over heat during transit.

Any reason for a delay prior to the snake being shipped will be discussed with you on the first work day of the week, generally Monday, with Joe.  If you notice any delays during the shipping process, please do not call Fedex directly.  Immediately get a hold of Joe and he will engage Ship Your Reptiles to rectify the issue.

Lastly, safe shipping windows for the week are determined by Ship Your Reptiles on Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 am MST, or 12 pm EST where we are located.  This could mean a last minute cancellation of shipment the day of shipping if Ship Your Reptiles has determined that it is unsafe.  We realize that this can be frustrating, but we promise that Reach Out Reptiles and Ship Your Reptiles has the best interest of your snake at heart.

Restricted species:
We will not knowingly ship any animal to a state where its ownership is prohibited. For Superdwarf and Dwarf Retics, states that restrict ownership are: Florida, New York, Alabama, Arkansas and Hawaii. The customer is responsible for knowing state and local ordinances pertaining to reptile ownership.

Picking up your order:
The party who's legal name is on the package must be the party that picks up the package. FedEx requires that ID be presented. Buyer is responsible for picking up animal(s) within 2 hours of available pickup time (as indicated by the provided tracking number) or all guarantees are null and void. Buyer must notify seller of DOA animals within 1 hour of pickup and provide video evidence. If an animal arrives DOA, the animal will be replaced with one of equal value or the balance can be applied toward the purchase of another animal.

How to pay:
We accept payment via Paypal, Venmo, Cashapp, credit card by phone and money orders by mail. No animals are shipped or delivered prior to checks/money orders clearing or being paid in full. Local pickup orders may be paid in advance or at pickup by cash, CashApp, Venmo, Paypal or credit/debit card.
There is a 25% non-refundable restocking fee applied to any snake purchased, or where a down payment has been made, prior to the snake shipping in the event the customer changes their mind or cannot get the snake for any reason.

Payment Plans:
The payment plan we offer is 50% down, and 50% within 30 days on snakes over $1,000. For your situational awareness, if something happens where you cannot get the snake, there is a 25% nonrefundable restocking fee.

HEALTH:
We guarantee sex, health, and genetics of all animals. Upon arrival, we ask that you check the animal over. If you notice anything is wrong please contact us immediately. If no contact has been made within 24 hours of arrival we assume you are content with the animal(s) and we no longer take responsibility for them. We are here to help you give your pet a long and happy life, but it is your responsibility to provide them with sufficient care, husbandry, and healthcare.

REFUNDS:
We do not offer refunds. Any issues with orders will be resolved with either replacement or store credit. If there is any issue with your purchase under the aforementioned condition, please reach out to us and we will work with you to make it right.

FRAUD PREVENTION:
We perform all due diligence to prevent fraud and stand behind the validity of EVERY sale under the terms above. We fully document and track every transaction. Any and all attempted payment reversals WILL be met with litigation and/or criminal prosecution. Back charging a card will result in being added to a DO NOT SELL list.
