Store Policy
**Terms and Conditions**
Payments
Retro Gecko offers payment plans for geckos over $200 with the following terms:
-25% of total purchase price (including shipping) as a down payment.
-30 days to complete payment in full, unless another agreement has been made.
-Down payments are non-refundable. If full payment is not made at the end of 30 days, the down payment is forfeited.
-If full payment is not made at the end of 30 days, any amount paid over the down payment is converted to store credit only. Store credit must be used within 6 months.
-It is the buyers responsibility to ensure payments are made within the required time frame.
-“On Hold” animals will not be eligible for purchase by other potential buyers. Animals that are “on hold” or are held for shipping due to weather conditions, will not be rechecked for pores at any time after purchase, prior to shipment.
Sexing
We loupe sex our animals which means sex cannot be guaranteed, because louping is not 100% accurate. Animals listed as “probable male” or “pores visible” means that I have louped them, and have seen what appear to be pores. This is with no visual bulge present. Geckos with a visible bulge are labeled as “male”. If the animal is listed as “probable female” or “no visible pores” that means that I have louped them, and no pores were visible.
Animals listed as unsexed are too small or young, to accurately determine sex. I do not guarantee the sex of a gecko unless it is 25+ grams. The terms unsexed, possible female, probable female, no pores seen, pores visible, etc. are just my observations at the time the gecko is posted for sale, they are not a guarantee.
Nutrition
All of my animals are fed a rotation of Repashy and Pangea diets, as well as properly gutloaded crickets and roaches.
Shipping
Shipping is done through FedEx via Reptiles2you.com priority overnight service, anywhere within the lower 48 states. Animals will be shipped Mon-Wed only, at a flat rate of $75 (updated 01/26/23 to reflect increases in shipping costs). Please note: Animal shipments do NOT ship automatically and must be scheduled. Currently shipping to Fed-Ex hubs only.
Not all hubs will accept live animal packages, so Retro Gecko, will check with the approved hub list provided by Reptiles 2 You, and the buyer will be able to select desired hub location from the provided list. Retro Gecko is not responsible for any carrier delays or mishandling.
I guarantee live arrival minus shipping delays mentioned above that are beyond my control. In the rare case that your gecko arrives dead on arrival (DOA), Retro Gecko must be contacted via MorphMarket within 1 hour of the shipment being delivered, no exceptions. Photographic and/or video proof will be required in all cases. At our discretion we may require the expired animal be returned to us, at your expense. Once our investigation is complete, compensation will be issued in the form of either a comparable replacement animal, or store credit. Cash refunds will not be given. A proper address must be given and someone must be available to pickup the package within 4 hours of confirmed delivery to the hub. If no one is there to receive the package my guarantee will be null and void.
Please note: Fedex does not always call the customer when their package is ready for pick-up. Please check and follow your tracking number for up to date info. This is beyond my control and I have experienced this both as a sender and receiver.
Tail Drops
It is always a possibility that a gecko can drop their tail during shipping, or while on hold. This is something that they can do at any given time, and does not affect their growth or reproduction in any way. Tail loss is NOT covered in the guarantee.
Health Guarantee
We offer a 3 day health and live arrival guarantee on all shipments. Our guarantee is valid as long as the following two conditions have been met:
-Adequate housing and nutrition must be met and ready for gecko before receiving shipment.
-Temperatures must be between 40°F (overnight low) and 80°F (daytime high). If a shipment has to be held due to weather restrictions, we will hold your purchase free of charge until the weather temps are within range again.
All sales are final. If a gecko can not ship due to weather, we do not issue refunds, but we will hold until the weather opens for shipping again. I reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone for any reason.
**If you send payment, I will assume that you have read and agreed to these terms.**
MorphMarket's Default Store Policy
