Payment
A 40% non-refundable deposit (NRD) will need to be placed on any animal(s), if the buyer wishes to put them on hold. This is applicable to any animals brought on their own, in pairs or more. This NRD will then be deducted from the overall agreed purchase price. If the buyer later decides to not have said animal(s) they will not get their deposit back.
Payment plans are accepted, for a duration of up to 60 days. If you decide to pay in full or choose a payment plan, 40% of the price will still include a non-refundable deposit.
Payment plan instalments can be arranged weekly, fortnightly or in two 30-day periods. Set dates will be confirmed before any payment plan starts and both myself and the buyer must agree on these dates. At the end of the 60 days, if the buyer has not paid the full amount, you will be given a final reminder and an additional 24 hours to pay the remaining amount. If after this time, the full amount has still not been received, the payment plan will become void and the animal(s) re-listed. Any payments received after the 40% non-refundable deposit will be returned to the buyer in the form of ‘credit’, that can be used to purchase another animal or any equipment from Sash Pythons. It will not be returned in cash. Credit is valid for 60 days after the date it is set and will expire after this time.
If any unforeseeable circumstances prevent the sale of the animal being completed by Sash Pythons, the buyer will be refunded the full amount, including the NRD.
Before any payments are made, I will like to see the enclosure set ups you plan to put the animals into as well as all of the equipment being used for them, i.e. thermostats, heating, substrate etc. If there’s something I believe is not appropriate or the best situation for the animal, I will speak with you and ask that you change this. The animals’ welfare comes before anything else, and with going to a new home I only want the best for them. I will also ask that you tell me what knowledge you have on the animals and if you have any experience with them. However, please note, if you don’t have any experience with the animal you plan on buying, this is not an issue. I will guide you through their basic knowledge and help with anything you’d like to know. But I will ask that there is a basic understanding on the animals’ care requirements. Without this, the sale may be refused.
Health/replacement animals
All animals will be fully health checked by myself before leaving the premises, this will also be documented and photographed/filmed. Any known health conditions will be specified before the purchase of the animal.
If any animals require vet treatment while in my care, I will inform you of this and the vet visits and pay accordingly. If a reptile specialist vet recommends the animal needs treatment, I will keep it at my premises until the treatment is over and the animal, if healthy enough, to leave.
If there are no health issues with the animal the buyer originally purchased/set up a payment plan for, but they decide they don’t want it anymore and wish to get another animal from me, then the buyer will lose the NRD on the first animal(s) and will need to place another on a different animal they are interested in. If the buyer has paid more money than the NRD, this will not be turned into cash, this can only be used as credit.
If they are old enough to be sexed, all animals will be correctly labelled before leaving the premises. If the animal is too young to determine the correct sex, I will label it as ‘unsexed’. I will give my opinion or whether I think the animal is Female or Male, but please note, this is not a guarantee.
Collection/ Courier services
You are more than welcome to collect the animal from me or use a courier service. With collection, dates and times must be arranged at least a week before you plan to collect the animals. If courier is preferred, I can arrange this myself with a trusted service. Please note, if you’d like me to arrange a courier, the price of this will be in addition to the price of the animal(s). These prices are set by the courier service, not myself.
If you are choosing to get multiple animals couriered, there will be a set price for each animal. These usually range from £45-70. Once the animals have been collected via the courier from the premises, Sash Pythons will not be liable for anything that may happen to your animals during transit.
Arrival
Before the animal leaves, the courier will give us both a date/time for the animal to be collected from myself and delivered to you. If the delivery date or time doesn’t work with you, unfortunately there is nothing I can do about this. This is something that should be discussed with the courier.
When the animals have arrived to you, a video and photos must be sent within 30 minutes of them arriving. This applies to each animal. This is for my peace of mind that the animals have arrived safely.
In extreme circumstances, the animals arrive to you Dead on Arrival (D.O.A) please contact me and send me photo and video evidence immediately. These photos must be taken in the original tub/bag the animal was shipped in. In these circumstances, you must book the animal in for a necropsy to determine the cause of death with the animal. The vet report must state that the animal died due to my care, before leaving. This also applies if the animal dies within 7 days of being in your care. If the vet determines it was due to the courier, this is an issue the both of us will need to take up with them, and you will need to provide them with all photos/videos and vet reports.
I would be extremely grateful if you could update me on any animals you purchase from me. Photos and videos would also be much appreciated. If in the future you decide to sell any of the animals, this isn’t an issue but I would appreciate it if you could let me know.
