Splendid Geckos is a family-owned business with decades of experience in breeding reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. We specialize in breeding truly splendid Crested Geckos.
Store Policy
All animal sales are final. No exchanges, returns or refunds will be issued or allowed, except in the conditions outlined below.

Payment is due in full at the time of purchase unless other arrangements have been made prior to purchase.

Payment plans
Splendid Geckos offers payment plans for geckos over $250. Payment plans are set up as a 30-60 Day hold period, during which time the animal(s) will be placed ”On Hold” for the buyer (once a 25% deposit has been received by us) and will not be eligible for purchase by other potential buyers.
If the total balance is not satisfied by the 60th day, the animal(s) will be removed from the hold status, and placed back to the available status. All monies collected toward the purchase of the animal(s) (minus the 25% non-refundable deposit fee) will be converted to store credit. Store credit has no expiration date, and can be used toward the purchase of any available animal, but not toward another hold or deposit. The 25% non-refundable deposit will be retained by Splendid Geckos. Cash refunds will NOT be issued. Payment plans are offered as a courtesy and convenience to the buyer. The 25% non-refundable deposit covers the cost of care for the animal(s) while on hold and accounts for the loss of income suffered by Splendid Geckos. Buyers who place an animal(s) on hold, and do not satisfy the balance by the due date will not be eligible to make purchases using a payment plan in the future.
In the unlikely event that the hold animal falls ill or otherwise becomes unsuitable for purchase during the duration of the hold period, the buyer will be notified immediately, the gecko will be removed from the “Hold” status, and all monies collected, including the 25% deposit, will be refunded.

Shipping:
Shipping is done through FedEx via Reptiles2you.com, ShipYourReptile.com, ReptilesExpress.com or REDLINEShippping.com (Our Choice) priority overnight service, anywhere within the contiguous 48 states, at the buyer’s expense. Shipping fees vary depending upon your location and can usually range somewhere between $45-$65 unless free shipping is offered on a certain listing.
I do not ship overseas at this time.
Once shipment is booked, tracking information will be promptly provided to the buyer. Shipping is done Monday-Wednesday, so that potential delays are less likely to run into the weekend.
All shipping should be done to your closest Fedex hub. We do this for the safety of the gecko(s). We Do NOT guarantee live arrival for any shipping to a non-FedEx hub address. Packages sent to be held at a hub, must be picked up within 4 hours of arrival at the hub or the Hub opening time to the public (whichever is later). Failure to pick up the package within the four hour window will void the live arrival guarantee. Failure to pick up your package from the hub on the day of arrival will result in it being considered abandoned. All abandoned packages will be returned to us and no refunds will be issued.
Splendid Geckos will not ship when temperatures and weather conditions are unsafe. Temperatures must be between 45 to 80 degrees in my location, any transfer hubs, and your FedEx Hub location or final destination (We Do NOT guarantee live arrival for any shipping to a non-FedEx hub address). This includes daytime highs and nighttime lows.
Please be aware that I reserve the right to delay shipping due to weather, and will hold animals at no extra cost until weather permits safe shipping.
Local Pickup/Delivery:
We may offer at our discretion a local pick up to those who are willing to drive to our area to receive their animal(s). This will usually be done free of charge.
We may offer at our discretion a regional delivery to customers in the Tri-State area depending on distance and weather. All deliveries would be handled by myself personally and would not be free. Cost would be subject to distance, fuel, time and tolls if applicable.
For either Local Pickup or Regional Delivery payment must be made in full prior to pickup or delivery like any other shipped sale.
Reptile show pickup: If you prefer to have us hold the animal until an upcoming show which we are vending, we will do so free of charge. Geckos must be paid in full before hold or be placed on a payment plan, with the payment plan due in full before show delivery.
-----Guarantees-----
Live Arrival:
Animals are guaranteed to arrive alive and healthy. If there are any problems with your purchase, including but not limited to death on arrival, I must be notified within 30 Minutes of package pickup. Photographic/video proof of complaint must be provided before a store credit or replacement animal is given. Shipping costs will not be refunded and replacement shipping is not covered. Cash Refunds Will Not Be Issued.
Splendid Geckos is not responsible for any carrier delays or mishandling.
Geckos will sometimes drop their tails due to stress. This does not affect the health or breeding ability of the gecko, therefore no compensation will be offered in the case of a tail loss during shipment.
We Do NOT guarantee live arrival for any shipping to a non-FedEx hub address.
General Health:
We offer a 48 hour health guarantee for all animals sold by Splendid Geckos. If you fail to properly feed, house, or otherwise treat the purchased animal, this guarantee is void. In the event of the animal’s illness or death, photographic/video evidence as well as a report from a veterinarian of an exam or necropsy, will be required. If the report verifies with reasonable certainty that we are at fault, a store credit for the full purchase price of the animal or replacement animal will be offered.

Sexing: I Guarantee the sex of any gecko(s) whose listing states a guaranteed sex. Possible sex or Pore sexing is not 100% guaranteed. It is my best educated guess using a jeweler’s loupe.
