My name is Sydney, and I currently breed crested geckos, chahoua geckos, sand boas, and I'm growing out several future projects including corn snakes, Saharan sand boas, and Tarahumara Dwarf Boas! I first got into reptiles in 2015 through volunteering at the BGSU Herpetarium, where my love for reptiles grew through caring for and helping breed the sand boas there. I first bred my own pair of sand boas in 2019, and joined the breeding world of crested geckos a year later in 2020. I care deeply about all the animals I produce, and am happy to help answer husbandry questions; making sure my animals go to caring and prepared homes is a top priority for me! I aspire to be the kind of reptile breeder who's eager to help, and will remain available to all of my customers as long as I'm needed in their reptile journey.
Store Policy
MAKING AN INQUIRY
All inquiries are answered in the order upon which they're received. For an animal that receives multiple inquiries, I will answer all questions and respond to each inquiry, but the second inquiring buyer will only get a chance to purchase or place a deposit for a payment plan after the first buyer passes, goes 24 hours without responding to my message, or fails to commit to the sale in a reasonable amount of time. My goal is complete transparency, fairness, and the chance for every prospective buyer to get the chance to have all their questions answered before moving forward on purchasing a living animal. I don't want anyone to feel the need to rush into a purchase because they think someone else is going to swipe it from under them while they're still asking questions.
SHIPPING
I ship on Tue-Wed only through Ship Your Reptiles, Reptiles2You, or Redline Shipping, using FedEx Priority Overnight shipping to your closest FedEx hub. If your animal is DOA, you must send a video of the dead animal and you will be refunded for the cost of the animal itself or offered a replacement if one is available. I do not offer shipping directly to doorstep, and only ship when temperatures on both sides are safe for the given animal. For sand boas, this means 40-93 degrees, and for crested geckos I will only ship between 40-85 degrees. Crested geckos will not be shipped until they are at least 5 grams in weight, but may be picked up locally. There is no shipping fee for animals that are picked up locally, but I may ask a delivery fee in order to meet outside of my immediate area. The cost of shipping is always non-refundable after the purchase of the shipping label.
HEALTH AND LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE
I offer a live arrival and 10-day health guarantee on all animals sold and shipped in safe weather conditions to your local FedEx hub. In the unlikely event that an animal is dead on arrival, the buyer must provide immediate video proof of the animal to receive a full refund or equivalent animal as a replacement. If the animal passes during the 10-day health guarantee time frame, the buyer must still provide video proof of the deceased animal and also proof of correct husbandry to receive a refund or equivalent animal as a replacement.
A gecko dropping its tail during shipping/under stress is not covered under the live arrival/ 10-day health guarantee; this is a natural, non-lethal stress response that does not effect the quality or overall value of the animal. **Sex is not guaranteed on any gecko under 15g, but I pore sex to the best of my ability for every listing!**
HOLDS, PAYMENT PLANS AND REFUNDS
Animals are not considered on hold for anyone unless paid in full, or with a non-refundable deposit and an agreed upon payment plan. Once paid in full, animals are on a complimentary hold for safe weather conditions, and will not be shipped until weather requirements for the species are met on both sides. (When shipping is closed for the winter starting in late fall, only orders exceeding $150 in price before shipping costs are eligible for shipping, and lower cost orders are available only for local pick up.) I offer a three week grace period on shipping/local pick up for animals that are paid in full even with good weather for life circumstances preventing the safe arrival of a new animal such as getting an appropriate enclosure put together, scheduling conflicts, et cetera, but if three weeks of good shipping weather pass and the buyer still cannot accept their animal for any reason, then a refund will be issued minus any non-refundable deposit on a payment plan, and the sale will be void.
Payment plans are considered and discussed on a case by case basis only on orders exceeding $500 in price before shipping costs, and may be subject to a pricing higher than what's on the listing depending on the length of the plan's term. In order to initiate any payment plan, myself and the buyer will agree on a non-refundable deposit that will not be returned if the payment plan does not reach completion for any reason besides the death of the animal (in which case, I will always assume fault and return all funds paid at the time of the animal's death, and send proof to the buyer of the animal's passing). If at any point the buyer fails to make a payment 24 hours past the agreed upon date, I reserve the right to void the sale and refund all payments, and retain the non-refundable deposit. Once the animal is paid in full, it will either be shipped out to the buyer according to my terms of service, or placed on a hold for safe weather conditions for shipping on both sides.
If at any point before a paid-in-full animal is shipped the buyer changes there mind and would like a refund, the refund will be given in full minus any previously agreed upon non-refundable deposit and the sale voided. After shipping and safe arrival, there are no returns or refunds outside of my 10-day health guarantee, and it falls upon the buyer to safely house and quarantine the unwanted animal and then resell/rehome them on their own terms.
