All animals are shipped via FedEx overnight. Shipping dates are scheduled based on best time to ship safely for temps and weather. Sometimes it is required to wait weeks to months before there is a good window to ship. We will work out the ship date together after the purchase is made.
TERMS OF SALE
These Terms of Sale (“Terms”) govern the sale of all pythons by Specialty Enclosure Designs, LLC ("The Reptile Perch"). By purchasing a python from The Reptile Perch, you (the "Customer") acknowledge and agree to these Terms.
PAYMENT AND PAYMENT PLANS:
The Reptile Perch will not ship pythons before they are paid for in full. The Reptile Perch may allow payment plans on a case-by-case basis. If interested please contact us directly to discuss details.
HUSBANDRY AGREEMENT:
The customer is expected to have done their research on how to properly care for green tree pythons before purchasing. This includes having everything needed to properly care for these animals set up and dialed in before receiving. Young green tree pythons must be kept in a properly setup small simple tub enclosure once received by the new owner so that the animal can make the smoothest possible transition into the new home. An example of this type of enclosure is a standard 6qt tub rack setup with proper heating and ventilation, or if you do not have a rack you can use a system like the Tranquility Base we offer here at The Reptile Perch. If the new acquisition is not setup in this way The Reptile Perch will be unable to offer help if the animal does not thrive. Do not place a newly acquired animal in a Bio Active setup, or an Exo Terra (or similar) glass enclosure etc. Once the new animal settles in and is thriving it is then up to you how you want to keep them.
GENERAL HEALTH:
Unless otherwise noted, The Reptile Perch has no knowledge of pythons it offers for sale having history of internal or external parasites, respiratory infection, prolapse, kinks or skinfolds . Customer is responsible for quarantining all new specimens for a sufficient period of time. The Reptile Perch will not be responsible for the alleged or actual death or illness of any other animals in your collection. Customer represents and agrees that he or she has the knowledge, ability and experience necessary to properly care for these animals. The Reptile Perch will make reasonable efforts to provide after-sale support and advice, but cannot guarantee that Customer's new python will thrive due to differences in husbandry practices and environmental conditions. Pythons sometimes go off-feed as a result of shipping stress or being placed in a new environment. This is particularly true for sexually mature males.
NIDOVIRUSES (SERPENTOVIRUSES):
The Reptile Perch will provide an initial negative test for Nidovirus for every animal being sold. All testing is done at a 3rd party professional lab (RAL) and a record of the negative test will be provided along with the sale of the animal. The Reptile Perch encourages testing for nidoviruses (aka serpentoviruses) for any any new python, regardless of source or species. In order to receive a refund for a nidovirus-positive python Customer must: (1) test the python within seven (7) calendar days of receipt; and (2) notify The Reptile Perch and provide a copy of any positive test results within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt. Provided that the foregoing requirements are satisfied, The Reptile Perch will provide a shipping label for the python to be returned to The Reptile Perch and provide a full refund upon its receipt. The Reptile Perch will have no responsibility for any positive test results for any test samples taken after seven (7) days following delivery nor for any test results it receives from Customer after fourteen (14) days following delivery. The warranty provided in this paragraph is The Reptile Perch’ sole warranty with respect to nidoviruses (serpentoviruses) and The Reptile Perch does not make, and hereby expressly disclaims, any other warranties of any kind whatsoever.
SHIPPING:
The Reptile Perch ships via FedEx and requires packages to be held for pickup at the nearest FedEx staffed facility. The Reptile Perch will postpone shipping if weather conditions will jeopardize the health of the python(s).
LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE:
The Reptile Perch guarantees live arrival, provided that Customer complies with all of the following requirements:
1. Customer picks up the package within one (1) hour of FedEx making it available for pick up;
2. Customer notifies The Reptile Perch of any problems within two (2) hours of receiving the package; and
3. Customer provides The Reptile Perch with a clear picture of the deceased python(s).
Should a python arrive deceased, and Customer satisfies the above requirements, The Reptile Perch will provide Customer with a full refund. If Customer requests The Reptile Perch to ship directly to his or her door, or if hold for pickup is not an option, live arrival is not guaranteed.
SEXING POLICY:
The Reptile Perch will not sex or guarantee the sex of any neonate green tree python as they are too young to sex safely and the genetic DNA testing is not readily available yet.
MorphMarket's Default Store Policy
specifies any terms which have not been overridden by this Seller's stated policy.
