About
Upstate Exotic Reptiles is a small-scale breeding operation run by me, Naven. My fascination with reptiles started at a young age when I got my first reptile a Russian tortoise for my fifth birthday. Eighteen years later I still have him, and that fascination with reptiles has grown into an obsession! I’m currently breeding leopard geckos, and through their genetics I love being able to create living works of art. I pride myself on the care I give my geckos and treat all my animals like they are my pets.

Upstate Exotic Reptiles Store Policy
Store Policy: By purchasing an animal, you have read and agreed to the following:

Guarantees:
- All animals are healthy, eating, and properly sexed unless otherwise stated.
- Animals that are labeled as Temperature Sexed Male (TSM) and Temperature Sexed Female (TSF) are not guaranteed to be those respected sexes. Males are incubated between 89-90 degrees Fahrenheit, and Females are incubated between 81-82 degrees Fahrenheit.
- No gecko will be shipped until it is at least 15 grams or larger.
- Each animal is given a unique ID code for better record keeping of the animal's lineage and any known Hets.
- Live arrival guaranteed*, but in the case of a D.O.A. (Dead on Arrival) I require pictures of the deceased within 2 hours of arrival for your money back or a replacement of equal value (dropped tails will not receive a refund or replacement.)
- There is a 2-day health guarantee on all animals.
* Live arrival guarantee is VOID if inaccurate or incomplete shipping information is given, or no one is there to receive the package on the first delivery attempt. Please double check you’ve typed the correct address.
Pricing & Sales:
- I reserve the right to refuse sale.
- Prices are subject to change.
- All animals are in my eyes priced fairly, but I am open to reasonable offers or negotiations that I deem fair unless otherwise noted as a firm price. I am willing to do group deals on purchases of multiple animals.
- Animals are available on a first come, first serve basis.
- Payment plans are available and require a 20% non-refundable deposit of the total price of the gecko (shipping + gecko price). Once the deposit is received, the animal will be put on hold for you, and you’ll have 30 days to pay the remaining amount.
- You must be 18 or older to purchase an animal.
- All sales will have a 7% New York Sales Tax added to the total price of the gecko(s) not including the cost of shipping. (I unfortunately have no control over this.)
Shipping:
- Temperatures 36°F - 90°F is safe to ship Door to Door or to a FedEx Facility.
- I reserve the right to delay shipment due to weather conditions.
- Animals will be held free of charge until weather allows shipping.
- Animals are shipped via Redline Shipping through FedEx priority overnight.
- Shipping is a flat rate of $70.
- Someone 18 years or older must be available to receive the package and open it immediately.
Deliveries:
- We are always willing to drive a reasonable distance to deliver an animal. (Please coordinate with us before ordering)
- There will be a $30 delivery fee on deliveries that are more than an hour away. (We are based near Albany, NY)
- All meetups for deliveries will be conducted in a public place. This is for everyone’s safety, and the destination will be confirmed prior to the purchase.
- We do not do home deliveries or allow people to enter our home to pick up their animals. This is for everyone’s safety.
Trades:
- I am open to reasonable discussions regarding trades for other reptiles/ isopods. Please contact me if you’re interested in a potential trade but be aware that I may decline your offer for a trade at that time.
